Crooms Is Quite The Disciplinarian

Can I call Croom a P.O.S.? Is that acceptable? Maybe Croom's just playing the hand he was dealt...Maybe's it more the National/Regional/local media's brainwashed view of Crooms that pisses me off so.

From May 6th, 2008:

Brown and Wesley waived their right to a grand jury hearing and pleaded guilty last Friday to the felony of bringing firearms onto educational property. They faced up to three years in prison. Howard said Wesley's sentence was longer because he has a simple assault conviction on his record.

Brown and Wesley were arrested March 27 after an altercation that started off campus earlier in the day, then continued near several residence halls that evening.

Campus police Detective Don Bartlett "described it as a stare-down kind of deal," Clark said of testimony offered to Howard on Tuesday.

The two were kicked off the team and dismissed from the university soon after their arrests.

Three other players still face grand jury indictment for what coach Sylvester Croom has called an indirect connection to the cases of Brown and Wesley.(they were hiding the gun)

Croom told fans in Tupelo last week that former starting cornerback Anthony Johnson, reserve linebacker Jamon Hughes and reserve defensive lineman Rodney Prince are not enrolled in school. Hughes likely will transfer, while a spokesman said Johnson and Prince could still return to Mississippi State, depending on the outcome of the grand jury hearing in July.

Today, July 30, 2008:

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State University re-admitted Bulldog football student-athletes Anthony Johnson, Rodney Prince and Jamon Hughes to the institution, it was announced Wednesday.

Johnson, Prince and Hughes had withdrawn from the university during the 2008 spring semester and were required to re-apply.

“I hope that all of our players have learned a valuable lesson from this situation,” Croom said, “and understand there are consequences of making bad decisions and choices."

The only consequence these boys will endure is the NCAA rule that requires you to sit a year after you voluntarily withdrawal from school (to avoid imminent expulsion????).You're right Crooms. These guys were only aiding and abetting a felony.

Let this be a warning...Any joke-of-a-national/regional/local journalist who mentions "Croom" and "Discipline" or "Character" or "Example" or even "Strong Black Man" in the same sentence, I will hunt you down. PREEMPTIVE WARNING: No one is saying that numerous schools don't do this same shit. They surely do, (some more desperate than others) however those other offenders typically aren't constantly pretending to be some bastion of "high character" and "discipline."

It looks like the Mississippi State spring game got Croomed. After 48 minutes of play, the meager "crowd" of 5,000 rednecks in attendance were treated to a barn burning 0-0 in the Stark-bowl. That's right, Croom's spring game actually had to go to overtime to get the win against its self. Somehow, I wouldn't expect any less from this crackerjack group of a-holes.

After 5 interceptions and over 50 minutes of play, some nameless, faceless State "quarterback" finally connected with one of the "good guys" for a 25 yard TD:

About a half-hour later, out strolled McCorvey (State's 5th year O.C. who was crying for the first 25 minutes), who stressed that the offense's lackluster Saturday performance shouldn't overshadow strides he claims have been made in the five weeks prior.

"We made a lot of progress," McCorvey said. "It's not evident out there today because we had some quarterback-center exchanges and had the interceptions and all, but overall this spring I felt like we made a lot of progress. We came a long way."

How the hell this douche nozzle McCorvey has maintained a coordinator job in the SEC for 5 effin years without even one...one mediocre season of offensive output is...well mindbottling.

Of course, State folk would say, "That just means our defense is kickass, man."

No. Your defense may be your saving grace again this season (despite the loss of several key cogs), but if your scrote lickin' offense can't even so much as put up a field goal in 48 minutes of the "Don't hit my no-talent quarterback!" spring scrimmage, it's gonna be a looong freakin' year.

Oh yeah...As much as crappy offense and pathetic, effeminate quarterbacks are a staple at MSU, Starkganistan's biggest tradition has always been felonious thuggery. As a continuance of Croom's recruits and their stellar record of cop beatdowns and signing scholarships from jail, this thuggish-ruggish episode involves alleged on campus handguns and drive-bys!

A Thursday night shooting incident at Zacharias Village, a group of four relatively new dormitories on the campus' north side, left senior left tackle Mike Brown, the anchor of the team's offensive line, dismissed from school and the team.

Same for Quinton Wesley, who was expected to compete for a starting job at defensive tackle.

Brown, 21, is charged with possession of a firearm on school property, a felony. Wesley, 21, is charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly fired on another vehicle at the dormitory.

MSU police chief Georgia Lindley said the investigation continues and that it's possible more charges will result.

Big win for the State Fan nation. It's been 7 years since bowl eligibility so it's pretty damn sweet I'm sure. And it couldn't have happened against a more appropriate coach. (Is it just me, or does Saban often look like a jilted prom date on the sidelines?)

Anyway, I'm quite sure MSU scores more off turnovers than they do with their somewhat less-than-awesome, West-Coast Offense.

According to the guy/girl over at CoachingHotSeat.com, Houston Nutt is #1 while Ed Orgeron is sitting at #5 on this hottest of the hot seat list.

Yeah...I'm callin' bullshit.



Any hot seat list that doesn't begin and end with Sylvester Slytanic Crooms is an Abomination. An Embarrassment. A Farce. (He's #13???) If you need a reason, just talk to any...literally any MSU fan for 5 minutes (If you can find one).

The aforementioned website predicts a 5-7 record for the Hawgs. Really? Darren McFadden's left testicle is good for at least 5 wins. When you throw in Felix Jones and the rest of the team, anything is possible.

After predicting another 4 win season for The Orgeron, he/she goes on to say,

"Memo to Pete Boone (OM AD): David Cutcliffe is a terrific football coach"

Really? really?!? Wow. That's odd. How many Head Coaching interviews/offers/opportunities has Cutcliffe been mulling over since he got canned? Most "terrific football coach" types at least get one look. Maybe "terrific quarterbacks coach" was what you were reaching for.
